Blain, Joyal, Charbonneau is a chartered accountant firm located in Sainte-Julie on Montréal’s South Shore. Its team consists of nine partners - seven in assurance, one in taxation and one in quality control - and over sixty employees.

Over the years, our high-quality, personalized service and attention to deadlines have helped our firm build a stellar reputation in the business community. Today, our dedication, awareness of market developments and proactive client-centred approach make us one of the leading companies in Montréal’s South Shore business community.

We explain the firm’s main objectives and achievements to all employees at our bi-annual general meeting. Because team work is recognized and rewarded, each employee understands that his or her work contributes to the firm’s success.

Our continued growth depends on creating an effective team, so we are interested in recruiting dynamic, team-oriented people. To that end, we recently set up a success plan to help us fulfill the career expectations of all our employees.


We offer flexible work hours, so our employees can enjoy a better work-life balance: from May to December, they can work four days a week instead of five; their workweek can be between twenty-eight and forty hours; and overtime is compensated by paid time off or overtime pay.

We have set up a mentoring system to facilitate the integration of new employees and create positive interpersonal relationships. We provide an average of thirty-five hours of training per year on various topics related to our profession.

Our firm has cutting-edge IT infrastructure, so all our hardware and software is up-to-date. We are increasingly shifting to a paperless office based on a multi-display system. All our employees have their own workstation with two and sometimes three monitors for maximum efficiency.

Our social committee organizes approximately five events per year (after-tax-season party, wine & cheese, golf tournament or other outdoor activity, Holiday party with spouses, children’s Holiday party for employees’ kids, team lunches, happy hour, etc.).

We offer competitive salaries and a full range of social benefits such as: group insurance including personal life insurance (also for dependent spouses and children), short and long-term disability insurance, coverage for medical and paramedical fees, a collective RRSP with a deferred profit-sharing plan and floating holidays. We reimburse some travel expenses (mileage) as well as professional liability insurance premiums. We also give a commission to employees who refer new clients and/or candidates.
